The Hog's Head Inn
A 3* hotel located on the outskirts of Alnwick, just off the A1, and named after the tavern in the Harry Potter books and films, the Hog's Head Inn has won a silver award in the North East Tourist Awards. Food is served daily from 7:30am to 9pm.
Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance, and we plan to organise a special discounted rate for wedding guests so please check back for details when they're available (June 2024)
Premier Inn Alnwick
A recent addition to the local area, you know what you're getting with Premier Inn. A few minutes away from the Hog's Head Inn, the Premier Inn is also on the outskirts of town and sits just off the A1 junction.
With an on-site restaurant, breakfast and dinner can be added to your stay.
Hallow & Crux
A small B&B with Harry Potter-themed rooms in a centuries-old building in the heart of Alnwick, with an award-winning restaurant on-site, this is one for wizarding fans. With only 4 rooms available, you'll need to get in quickly!
The Cookie Jar
Once the Convent of Mercy, the Cookie Jar is now an 11-bedroom retreat in the heart of Alnwick. Prices start from around £200 per night, depending on the room.
The Dirty Bottles
A slightly different option this freehouse has undergone extensive renovations in the last few years. Situated in the middle of Alnwick, again this is well-located for accessing the Garden.
Northumberland Luxury Cottages
Luxury self-contained cottages in West Chevington, a 20-minute drive from the Garden. Pet-friendly, these may be a good option for anyone who wants to bring the dog with them for the weekend (although sadly, there's no dogs allowed within the Garden so they'll have to stay in the cottage for the afternoon!). It looks like they sometimes offer discounted rates for guests of weddings at the Garden, so let us know before you book and we'll see what we can do.
Alnwick Cottages
Located right in the heart of Alnwick, and walking distance to the Castle and Garden, these 3 cottages are ideally situated for the wedding. Currently showing as 'booked,' we hope these will become available soon. Bookings appear to be 3- or 7-day stays only, so bear this in mind when enquiring.
